UPDATE!!!! NFCU $15K approval!!!! - & 2 AUTO REFIS!!!- And CLOC!!!

Approved for my first NFCU card on Friday!! I was so shocked to get a hich limit.
 
Before the approval I had:
CO QSO now @ $1100 ($500 Jan '17)
CO QS now @  $600 (300 Platinum July '16)
CO Venture @ $5000 (Aug '17)
AMEX Everyday @1000 (Oct '17)
 
It was COMPLETELY unexpected but so happy. My final CC app before gardening for my first mortgage will be the Flagship (rumored $80K max limit). I also have 2 auto refi's and a CLOC I want to get in before gardening.
 
Who knew joining NFCU three years ago would open the doors to these awesome financial opportunities!!!

I was doing my research and hoping that I could fit in another approval or two so I can begin gardening. My goal was to refi my two auto loans, open a CLOC and get the Flagship card.
 
I was able to refi both my auto loans for the lowest available 2.39%!!! This brought one payment down from an 18% interest rate and save $150 per month. The other was a new loan but the new rate saved me 12 months of payments for only a few dollars more. That's tons of interest saved!!
 
Remember I had only done the cashRewards about 5 days prior. And when they did the two apps for the cars, I had no credit pull alerts so they must've used the TU HP from last week. At this point I'm thinking why not try to CLOC and Flagship now since it may be based on the same report.
 
I knew the Flagship and CLOC were a stretch because I got the cashRewards $15K at 15.75%. With that rate and not getting $22K as others have, I figure I was only one foot in the good zone. Also, I have a 712 TU FICO while others approved apps in a short time frame were mid 700s. So two cards in a week plus a CLOC may have been too much to ask for and I was declined for both. Awaiting the response but I presume it will be associated with my account being too new or two outstanding accounts I need to take care of. Either way, no hard pull and a good assessment of where I need to go.
 
I was hoping to go into the garden early now instead of early 2018 after getting the CLOC and Flagship. But now I will continue PIFing and keeping a low UTI so in 3 months I can hit the love button and see if the CLOC or Flagship can be tried again although I'd rather wait 6 months. Since my plan is to be in the Garden by February I may have to go without the new card and CLOC.

10/27/17 UPDATE!
Sent a message to recon the CLOC. Got a message back to appeal in branch or over phone. Loan specialist advised to submit the same amount requested for the appeal ($15K). They came back with a $1000 counter and I wholeheartedly acceptes since I'll keep it in perfect condition then request an increase along with my credit card.
So amped!!!!!
I submitted a recon for the Flagship too but haven't heard back yet.

Absolutely Amazing job. Thats a fantastic limit. Joining Navy is one of the best things to do and looks like you got some good goals ahead of you. Congrats on your first card. Now just wait til January for the real fun to begin
