US Bank Cash + Approval 5 years post BK! WOW!!!! 10K CL!!!

Please read below for the steps I took. I just called underwriting again for an update and was told I was "credit approved". They are now verifying my identity and making sure there is no fraud involved. The rep said the process should be finalized within 2-3 days. I was approved for 10k and 19.99% APR. From what I've read, that's a great starting CL for US Bank. I'm still a little nervous that this is too good to be true, since the process isn't fully complete, but still excited that I was even considered 5 years post BK!
 
 
*UPDATE*
Called underwriting number and was told system declined due to 5 yr BK. He did recommend an underwriter look at my application and mentioned he was my first form of defense. I was also given a set APR and the terms and conditions and advised to call back later today for a decision. Hmmm? What do you think?


I checked the US Bank prequalify link and was prequalified for 3 cards. Platinum, Cash +, and Cash 360. My APRs were set at 15.99 for Platinum, and 16.99 for other two. I tried to apply, but the link seemed broken, so I applied as a regular app. Do you think that should make a difference? I also received the 7-10 day message. After I applied for theie card, I applied for the Gold Checking account since the fee is waived for card holders. That status is pending too. Any thoughts? My data points are in my signature. Thanks for any feedback!

Called App Status line and it said my application was unable to be approved. I'll still call in the morning.

Your thread is a little confusing to me with all the updates. Did you get approved for the $10,000 card or not?

I was going to post the same thing! I am interested in knowing if you were actually approved in the end as well. I also just checked pre-qualify and I too had two pre-qualified offers, applied and got the 7-10 day message and then followed with asking me if I wanted to do a balance transfer.

Wondering if I should call backdoor #?

What type of questions did they ask you?

I called to find the status on mine. Not denied, in verification process. She said it can take 3-5 days. Does this sound like it can be an approval?

It sounds like it wasn't instantly denied, which is a good thing. 3 to 5 days is good with us bank. They work on their own time. Dv

Thanks @DV. Hopefully it won't be a $500 SL like I am reading. That said, looks like many have had very good "easy" success with recon for a higher SL ($5K, $10K, $15K)...

I will go that route if need be.

I think verification is standard for US Bank. You are most likely “credit approved”. I believe verification is the final step, which I was told takes 2-3 days. Hopefully you’ll hear back soon. Was told my limit and APR, so pretty solid. Still anxious waiting though. Wonder if we’ll get an approval email.

My app appproval was also pending, then approved for $500. But like you said, the cl recon was easy...and fast! Good luck!
