Went a little crazy with my apps after I closed on the new house. Got all but two cards I wanted. Denied Fidelity Amex and tried to PC my US bank platnium card with a $3,500 limit. Was told no offers were available. However, I felt that a new HP app for a Cash + felt like the right thing to do.
Did the app online and got the 7-10 day message. Continued to call the automated line to check status and it was still pending after a week. Stayed on the line to see if it was my new address with the new house that was holding me up. Sure enough, fraud department needed to verify. Said on the line, thats all we need. I'll send this back to processing and from what I can see, you are approved.
Called the automated line this morning and got the congradulations message. $5k sl. I'll give all my new cards some time to age before I go for that Fidelity amex again.
Congrats on the Approval
Nice job, who did you have as a mortgage lender? What bureau did US bank pull?
Congrats! I just got mine (Cash+) a couple of weeks ago.
Grats.. They like you more than myself.. A Bit of higher scors than you and only approved for 1k on cash rewards.. High income and other high CL's as well.. Wonder if your platinum relationship had much to do with it? How long have you had that plat card?
Congrats man.
Congrats on your approval
I started out with their secured card 3 years ago when my scores tanked into the low 400s. Had that card with $500, then went up to $3,500. After two years of postive history with that card and getting my scores up, I was able to graduate that to the platnium card. It has been 5 months now with the platnium card.
Mortgage was bought from my broker by Chase. I am assuming that wont report for a couple months.
