Hi all! As some of you may remember, I was denied for the Hyatt card three months ago due to too many inquiries. So i waited three months and just applied now with that $50 on my first statement offer and was approved for 9k! Thank you everyone that has helped me before for tips and stuff!

Also note that the 12 month expiration period on the free 2 nights BEGINS when you complete the required spending. So you can elongate that expiration period by taking the full 3 months to use $1k.

May not be necessary, but just a datapoint!

Congrats on your approval! I love my Hyatt, too. Why not the Ritz card instead of the Marriott?

I just returned from the Hyatt House in White Plains. They ran out of single rooms, so I got an upgrade to a lovely 2 bedroom suite. Didn't need all that space but it was a nice, unexpected treat.
