It's been a great day today! I was approved today for an NFCU membership and I decided to apply for the Visa Signature Rewards Card and try to refinance my car. Luckily, I was approved for BOTH! I received a $17,500 CL on the Visa and I refinanced my car at 4.29%. I've been in the process of rebuilding my credit for the last year. The weird thing is that my scores aren't that great (661 Equifax FICO, 605 Exp FAKO, 600 TU FAKO). I know NFCU pulled my EQ Fico for the CC and Auto Loan, but I didn't except such a high credit limit or that good of a rate for my refi. I guess my income helped (78k). I even called backed after I left one of the DC branches to make sure the limit that I wasn't given was correct and the rep verified it for me... Another reason I'm so excited is because I app'd on Friday 12/14 for a CLI on my USAA Amex and applied for a Nordstrom store card and was denied for both *USAA pulled EQ and Nordstrom pulled all 3 reports*. I'm feeling so lucky today, I almost want to try to app for a Walmart Card since I read that there not to hard to get approvals for... Well anyway, just wanted to say thanks to all the posters who post in these forums for all the tips! It's been really helpful these past couple of months in helping me improve my score.
