I've been anxiously awaiting for a Walmart Discover upgrade from my Walmart Store Card. Looks like I'll be waiting forever, since I've had my Walmart card since Oct 2011. I realize it's not forever, but I've read how others get their store card upgraded or they get an invitation upon signing in to their store card -- NO DICE either way for me.
I asked Cust Serv how to get an upgrade and they've said to reapply. I reapplied this morning and got the 7-10 message, which I didn't think was too good. So I called 18772947880, not a backdoor number and they wanted to verify my cell phone by sending a text to it to have me verify. Finally, they said....okay, you're approved for 3K.
Granted, it's not the way I wanted this to happen and she did say, it's a new account -- not an upgrade as you can have both. Oh well, just thought i'd share!
