Yeah, you're probably right. They should probably call GE/Walmart and find out what's going on.

I know the answer!!!
Call regular Cust Serv
Tell them that you recently rec'd a cli, but your cash advance limit wasnt changed to reflect the 20% of your total credit as it should.
They have fixed it for me that way.
If they try to argue. Remind them that in your cardmember agreement the cash adv limit IS equal to 20% of the total line.
I had to call to get them to raise my Wmt Discover from $600 on a $15k line to the true 20% ($3k).
Also, Cash Advance limit wont even show up on the mobile version of the site.... And remember GE sets most of their cash advance limits at 20% of the overall limit.
Hope this helps!
You are so knowledgeable!! Thanks for shedding light on this mystery! That all makes perfect sense and I do remember reading about the 20% thing in my agreement when I first got it.
Awesome!! I am so jealoius. Had my account over a year and can't get above 750!!

I seriously want a Walmart card! Its very tempting for the free FICO and the awesome CLIs! Darn you Walmart card holders!
*giggle* Oh yeah, I know exactly what you mean! I resisted temptation for many months myself, but finally in November I couldn't stand it any longer and had to app for Walmart. The free TU FICO is the best perk and the SP CLIs are fabulous.

You must call them, seriously! I hear you get better results if you call after normal business hours or on the weekend. Today's Sunday, so you should call. You have nothing to lose! The number I called is 877-379-8173. Good luck if you decide to go for it!
