Walmart card, denied. Recon, APPROVED!!

I am about a year into my rebuilding journey and so far the only credit cards that I have are they Discover secured, Capital One Secured, Victoria's Secret, and Fingerhut. The cashier at Walmart talked me into apping for their card today and I was very hesitant because my scores are only 557, 609, and 584. It was a denial at register but I figured what the heck. Why not try my first recon? I called the backdoor number for Synchrony and the lady but me on hold for a few minutes. She came back on the line and said "Congratulations. You have been approved with a 500 limit." I was shocked!! Back to the garden I go!!

Congrats! That's better than what I got as a SL two years ago and my scores were 30-40 points higher than yours are now. I started at $400.
