How long does it normally take to receive the card? Do they overnight it, or snail mail it?

Which card, the IT is normally expedited automatically... if you need any of the other ones faster than snail mail call them and they will expedite.

When I talked to the CSR with the Discover IT she said it would be sent by FedEx and I would receive it within 72 hours. And I did.

I got approved for Discover IT on 2/6/2013 and got it delivered by FedEx on 2/9/2013. So it took 3 days.

Got the email my card shipped on Monday 11th and it was at my door step today. (Got approved on Friday though)

As the others have said, Discover is very good about getting their cards to their new customers. Part of their outstanding customer service, I suppose, to get the cards sent out expeditiously. 2-3 day delivery time sure as heck beats some of their so-called higher tier competitors.
