My EQ Fico finally went over 700 two weeks ago and even though I probably should've waited I applied for two cards: Costco Amex and USAA Mastercard. My only baddies left are an auto loan paid chargeoff from 2007 and a satisfied judgement for the same auto loan. I have only two credit card, which are both current, never late and less than 6% utilized. I have a Cap1 secured for $1K and a Walmart card for $150.
The Amex pulled all three CRA and denied me right away. No surprise, I'm kicking myself for even applying.
USAA only pulled EQ, and it gave me a message that they would process it and let me know their decision. I was bummed, when I applied I was hoping for them to at least match my $1K limit on my Cap1, but after waiting for 5 days I would've been happy with even a couple hundred. So I got an email this morning congratulating me on my new USAA Mastercard. As I was logging in to my account I was thinking "come on $1K". I opened my account and WOW! They gave me a $9,000 Credit Limit!!
Thanks everyone for all your help! I haven't posted too much on here, but I've been reading this message board for about 6 months. I couldn't have done it with out you. Next step a house, hopefully at the end of next year.

@Epcot - I did get my denial letter from Amex, even though they pulled all three, they denied me based on my TU Fico score. They didn't cite the baddies just the score.
@Repo-ed - I'm not a full member, I've never been in the military or have family in the military. I live close to a military base and have friends in the military who recomended USAA. As a matter of fact, I signed up with USAA the same day I applied for the card.
