I feel like I have the lowest stats of approval. I became a member and opened a checking/savings with them the end of January started having 70% of my check go into checking. I have only been rebuilding since late January. credit scores still in the upper 400s and 3-4 collections depending on what report. 3 C/Os (being paid on) and defaulted student loans (in rehab but not reporting positive TLs yet).
I did get a secured capital one card a few weeks ago but that won't report until April
I am seriously in shock. I actually applied on an emotional whim - feeling very overwhelemed with the rebuild and was hoping for something positive to happen. When it went into review instead of approval I started beating myself up for taking a hard pull for a decline. 20 mins later got a text/email it was approved!
So excited to continue buildling a POSITIVE relationship with them.
Awesome job! They are my new favorite bank and I primarily use USAA, might switch soon.
They will help out a ton with the rebuild and after a year or so you'll look back and feel great about it because of all the approvals you'll be getting. Two years after and it will just be a bad memory. Especially if you can get some GW deletions or some accounts to remove the lates after a year or two, that helps a bunch too.
It gets better and congrats on the approval!!
Thank you!!
I'm hoping they don't take as long to report as capital one so my UTI goes down due to these COs. Also for my sanity to start seeing positive movement.
Way to go rizzlep. You're in the door.
I got my first card in November and they reported in December
Nice work...congratulations!
Sometimes, emotional whims are the best whims!
Congrats on your approval and in with NFCU! Best of luck on your rebuild and keep us posted! I have found this forum to be the best source of medicine for help and welfare. Congrats again!
thank you all!!
Good to know about the reporting time
Wonderful job! Enjoy your approval with Navy as you continue to rebuild.
