Re: $0.00 balances across the board

I remember when I paid off all of my cards (after almost 10+ years) and it was the best feeling in the world! lol  Now I just leave a couple of bucks on one of the cards just for scoring purpose. Smiley Tongue

Re: $0.00 balances across the board

Feels great doesn't it? Congrats

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: $0.00 balances across the board

i did leave $500 reporting for score purposes - though 7k across several accounts was not really impacting my score, it was bothering me immensely!
5/2012: 560 credit scores across the board
12/2014: 750+ scores across the board

Re: $0.00 balances across the board

That is awesome! Congrats...

This month, same for me. Paying the final $1200 on new kitchen appliances next week and we will also have a zero balance!

Now I do use 4 cards on a regular basis, and I just PIF on the due date, so they do report. But it is typically less than 2% of my total credit line so no big deal. I am sure it helps in some way.

None-the-less, congrats again! It is a great feeling to finally get there.
