The business card does not report to personal credit report and also does not backdate to the member since date of consumer cards...  So I locked in my 2012 member since date for the business credit report, and will be able to be backdated to 2012 on the new PRG

Why BCE?   Don't understand the love for this particular card!

For me, it was just to finally have an Amex card (and thus have one card on each major network). If you don't travel (and don't care for MR points), the BCE makes the best sense as a no-AF, cash-earning Amex product. The glamor has definitely worn off though -- with the exception of Small Business Saturday, I haven't used mine since cashing out the sign-up bonus.

BCP has nothing to do with being a travel card. It's rewards come from grocery stores, department stores, and gas. 3 things you would spend money in even if you never left your own town (assuming you owned a car).

BCP makes fiscal sense for 80% of the population as far as I can tell. The other 20% eats out all the time or doesn't own a car or have other cards that fit those categories.

Right, which is why I said the Blue Cash series makes more sense than any of the Amex travel cards.

Sorry - the Scorpion Bowls and Champagne blurred my forum vision.  I misread what you had posted, but now see that we were saying the same thing.  I sincerely apologize.

In My Wallet: Amex BCP (12/12) $32,000, Chase Freedom (12/12) $16,500, Citi Forward (12/12) $14,600, Cap1 Quicksilver (6/12) $14,000, Barclaycard Rewards (5/13) $10,500, Citi Thank You Premier (6/15) $6,800

Ok gotcha.  That is pretty smart actually. I did not know that.

Very nice! I chickened out and decided to wait for my history with Amex to age for another few weeks before applying later this month; hopefully it'll be a hit. Smiley Wink

I applied for American Express Lowe's Business  Card and got approved for $9800. First I got denied because I reached the  max amount of Amex Cards. Amex Application Status 01032013A.jpg
