10..9..8...7 (AMEX Backdating clock ticking down)

If your not in with AMEX your chances to be backdated to 2013 are quickly slipping away (maybe already too late if not instant approved).  Getting getting apping/drapping for it Smiley Happy

If you're already a member, then apping in Jan will backdate you to Jan of your original membership date. So, if your very first Amex is from any month in, say, 2001, and you app this coming Jan, your new card will be dated Jan 2001. So as long as your new account is officially opened in Jan, that's what would happen. If you wait until the last day or two in Jan, the account may not be officially opened until Feb; I'm not sure how long it takes them to finish opening a new account. I hope this makes sense.

Yes. If you get an Amex in summer 2014 and get one again in Jan 2015, the second card would be backdated to Jan 2014. It is weird in a way; your second card would be "older" than your original!

Re: 10..9..8...7 (AMEX Backdating clock ticking down)

Would this work for me? I opened AMEX account in 11/2/13 can I open a BCP in Jan 2014 and It would show opened since Jan 2013? for AAoA purposes?
