i am going to stay app free for 6 months because discover says so...but i really want a CSP and bigger CLI on freedom and discover. i really would get rid of other cards just to get CSP

It does look nice, it scratches easily though. Twice my mom had to request a new one because it was all scratched up when it arrived. Sapphire is my birthstone so it may fit nicely with me. I just have no use for it other than the sign up bonus. I never eat out or travel.

They actually told you not to apply for anything for six months?
No but a lot of people here say not tootoo

Oh okay. I never have really had a problem with inquiries. As long as all cards are not maxed out, they really should not prevent a card getting approved.

I have 9 inqs from this last app spree. The only thing holding me back are too many new accounts.
Wow you have a lot of cards there...if I app for citi when should I do it? Should I wait six months go on a mini spree? by mini spree I mean request CLIs on freedom discover BoA and maybe app for citi or CSPCSP

Yes that also makes them hesitate. I opened up a bunch at the beginning of the year and like that they are all aging at the same time. I have had a few analysts say something about new accounts, but they see everything is paid and zero to little balances so they are not too worried about it. Time is the best thing with credit, but these banks just keep coming out with these great cards and sign up offers.

Citi is the exception to what I said. They seem to be horribly inquiry sensitive, especially if you have a thin or bad file. I would wait at least six months to a year from the last inquiry for them. I do not believe you can ask for a reconsideration either. For a big bank, they really are terrible at many things.
