It used to be a secured card but I did a PC last year to the Cash Rewards, $39 AF hit me two months ago, I already spoke to two different CSR, none of them can waive it. They both said to close it and apply to the same one, which makes NO SENSE.
Anyone having luck getting the AF waived? :-/
Call the backdoor number. They will likely to waive this for you. It happened to me 2 days ago.
Thank you! I just called the backdoor number, I talked to a senior analyst, and it only took a minute to get the AF waived and theyre giving me back $39 on my next statement!! She also apologized for the inconvenience.
Which backdoor number did you call??

Thanks for the suggestion Sophie; come to think of it my old secured card turns 2 years old this month so likely an AF is in my future. Good time to call and ask if it can be removed going forward.
This is awesome... Spoke to a delightful lady who was more than happy to credit my annual fee.. I asked if there was a way for her to permanently remove it, she put me on hold, came back and said its done! I figured might as well try to lower my apr as well. Explained to her I never carry a balance over but if I do it would sure be nice to have that lowered. 20.24% to 17.99%, its not much but i'll take it! Only thing is I dont see a credit yet for te annual fee that was just charged. Should I call back tomorrow or wait towards te end of the bill cycle?
Same thing happened, contacted BoA through Facebook, got a call, then removed it and refunded me $39 * 2... = $78
Do you still see $39 annual fee on BoA online?

Just wanted to say, thanks for the Tele #.
I had previously asked for a CLI 2 weeks ago to go from 3k to 6k via online and they only gave me 1k. However, this morning after speaking to a credit analyst they increased it to 6k with the previous HP from the 8th. Now, I can take advantage of their current BT offer of 0% till Jan 2015. wooot wooot
I called same number before the annual fee was due. Lady stated good job with the account, bla bla bla, AF has been removed.
Under the information & services tab of my cc account, it still shows the $39 AF. To those that had the AF removed, does it still show on your account?
