2/3 approvals but have questions....

My plan was to only apply for a card that will give me a decent limit so I can do a balance transfer.... I ended up applying for 3 cards cause the first two were declined...

Citi TYP: denied cause of too many inquiries.. but approved after calling to get it manually reviewed... I ended up talking to a supervisor (she didn't sound pleasant) but approved me for $2k!..

.... can I still ask for a limit increase once I get the card? or should I just leave it at that and wait 3-6 months...

Barclays Rewards Mastercard: denied.. called backdoor and the guy said he can't approve me since I have 10+ new accounts the past year....

DCU platinum visa: Instantly approved for $7.5k!... I'm not a member yet, so I don't know how this would work... It only asked me to provide proof of paystub and nothing about being a member..... anyone else got approved instantly for this card?? what else did they need?? I remember applying for this before but i didn't get approve instantly ... they emailed me and asked to be member but I got denied for membership .....am trying again and am really crossing my fingers on this one.....

I got all the cards I wanted.. my wish list is complete ...... well, CSP is still on my list but I don't think I really need anymore card for now....

Re: 2/3 approvals but have questions....

Congrats on your approvals. To answer you question about DCU, there have been others that were approved and did not get the cc cause their membership was denied. Have you rectified the issues that caused your previous denial? If not, I'm afraid you've suffered a Hp for nothing. Also, they will do an additional Hp for membership.

Contact them tomorrow and see if you can process your membership over the phone. Good luck!

[ Edited ]
I was on chex system last time I applied which was 6 months ago.... It should come off by tomorrow since I called chex and they gave me the exact date it will be deleted... I tried calling dcu but their loan dept is always busy... Anyway, I went thru my dcu app and I made a boo boo on my stated income.... I put $52000 monthly income .... I thought they asked for annual instead of monthly lol.... No wonder I got instant approval... Lol... Would they ask me to reapply ? Am hoping not and just manually override it...... Weird no one has contacted me yet.... Last time I applied they emailed me the next morning since it was the weekend I applied.....

Re: 2/3 approvals but have questions....

Yes, thy will override the figure and then manually review your app. It's been mentioned that non member apps may get lower priority on follow up because they are waiting on a membership number.

I assume, you are waiting for your Chexsystems to be clear before calling and applying. Which makes sense.
