One bad thing to note, they do not report to the CRA on set statement dates.  I paid in full 2 days before the statement date and they still reported the whole balance to all the CRA Smiley Mad

Most HSBC bank cards, including Orchard, report your balance on the last business day of the month, as of that day. So you can still time your PIF'ing, you just have to do it on a different time plan.

HSBC does like to do its own thing, that's for sure.

Thank you!  I will keep that in mind Smiley Happy

Re: 2%+ Cash Back on Everything Cards

I have the HSBC card with 2% cashback on everything.  My CL is $1500.  It's not a huge CL, but I use it as my "beater card" and for all my monthly purchases and PIF each month.  It's not advertised on their website but it was offered to me when I did a pre-qual on their website.  I love it.  I get a nice $25 check every couple of mths.
