This is true. Also, I wouldn't advise on two secured cards. I think one is enough to establish credit. Also try to one that doesn't have a deposit cap.
I wanted two because the credit limits are lowish (5k) max. I also wanted two because Citi is my primary bank and after I have the 10k (combined bet the two cards) I will have a good amount of cash on hand with Citi (65k) so i wont be strapped
There is somethinng I want to buy for 9200.00 and I wanted to use those two cards to get it, obviously I can pay it off right away, but wanted to "show" I have the ability to do so.
I cannot get one card with a 10k limit so that's another reason I needed two
