Re: 2 Hard Pulls on Amex denial??? I already have a Gold Card

Just a guess here, but I think that upgrade matrix (cards available to upgrade, what features you want, etc) they might go ahaed and do the hard pull. I was always under the impression it was soft if you had been a member.

Chase Freedom (2200) 5/12
Citi Thank You Pref. (7000) 4/12
USAA AMEX (4000) 11/12
BOA VISA SIG CASH (5000) 12/12

This doesn't add up to what I've read on here. I thought if you're a card member already, it's a SP on denied and a HP on approval.

I am planing to app in mid/end of 2013. I would like to know more.

Exactly, that's why I posted this...it's contrary to what is being discussed on this site...
