Applied and was instantly denied a couple of days ago for BCE card. Amex HP'd both EQ and EX...
I thought t would only be a SP for denial since I've had the Amex Gold for a fee months now.
Any thoughts?

Are you an AU with the gold card?
If not, were you logged in/asked to login when you applied?

It's my own card and I was logged in when I applied.

They usually check EX before any others but they may have not liked what they say on EX and went and checked EQ after. AmEx likes to see a year with their cards before they can be upgraded as well. Their charge cards are a foot in the door but they don't carry the same weight as having their Credit Cards so you may have to wait the year before you can get the BCE card. I also heard the BCE is not one of their easier cards to get that the Delta is easier to get but that is only what I have read I don't have the Delta card so I can't tell you one way or another. I can tell you that I received the BCE card before I applied for their charge card and that they only pulled EX for me.

From where did you select the card to app? did you get an offer, or the upgarde matrix?

No offer, just app'd on website, while logged in

This doesn't add up to what I've read on here. I thought if you're a card member already, it's a SP on denied and a HP on approval.
I am planing to app in mid/end of 2013. I would like to know more.
