Re: 20% Marriott to AAdvantage conversion bonus

Looking at the link from the American Airlines web site, it takes you to a Marriott page that has, as the starting grid, what looks like an ongoing regular-thing of transferring Marriott points to United Airlines for a 20% bonus. And one needs to read carefully to get to the next grid down the page to pick American (jumbled in with Alaska, Delta and others).

I also did look at some other Marriott options, and found the Envoy Hotel, Autograph collection, in Boston. Points are indeed 1c range in value.

So I will keep my Marriott points where they are, and have a new reason to like the black metal card Smiley Happy

Re: 20% Marriott to AAdvantage conversion bonus

This bonus ALSO applies to the air + hotel packages from what i understand.

I'd also like to point out it is not a 20% discount. It would not go from 140k requirement to a 112k requirement. It would still be 140k points, but instead of 50,000 miles, you would earn 50k +20% so 60k aa miles.
