I got to looking at year end summaries on my accounts, and realized I did a TERRIBLE job maximizing rewards on my cards. How well did yall fare in this department? I spread my spend out far too thin and on the wrong cards. some of that can be attributed to low CL at the time and the rest to not paying attention. Thinking for 2016 I need to focus mainly on Chase and Citi, with QS as a backup. Here's a breakdown:
Barclay Rewards (now closed): $7,500 spend
Barclay Ring: $100 (Nov 2015)
CSP: $12,600 (March 2015)
Freedom: $5,100
Marriott: $700 (Dec 2015)
Amex BCE: $4,700
Citi: $2,400 (Dec 2015)
Cap1 QS1: $3,700
Cap1 plat: $2,200
WF: $2,900
Total rewards earned was ~$600 or less than 1.5% not including CSP sign up bonus. There might be too many variables considering all the rewards programs out there to answer this, but I was wondering what others were getting on returns proportionately.
