Out of curiosity, were you PIF or carrying balances at the time of your successful reduction requests?

Contacted them via online chat 8.17. APR reduced to 16.24%.
Contacted them via online chat 8.21. APR reduced to 13.24%.
And moved $8K over from Delta.
I'm a firm believer that just because I get approved at one APR doesn't mean that it's going to stay there. Back in March I did four APR reductions in four days with Citi.
Let the fun begin!
You inspired me to ask again! When my 0% promo period on BCE ended in early June, I was able to drop the APR from 18.99% to 16.99%. Today, I went down to 14.99%! I'm very pleased with this result.
YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
I'm even more pleased, since I asked again. I was able to go from 14.99% to 12.74%! BCE is now my 2nd lowest standard APR, with only my CU beating them at 11.9%!
@lhcole77 wrote:Good thinking,kdm.
13.24% is the lowest they'll go on this one for now so I'm totally ok with that. I'll prob ask again in 12 months.
Got Delta down to 10.24% as well. That was about a month ago. I was able to get in dropped twice in the month, from 12.24-11.24-10.24.
I'm good for now 😁
Good news! Asked again and they brought me down to 13.74!
Out of curiosity, did you ask again after 13.24 and get denied?

@iCoop wrote:I have two active accounts with American Express both with purchase APR's of 6.24% (Prime + 2.99%). I have received both confirmation letters in the mail that American Express sends when your APR is changed. I do not believe they will go any lower than this but of course I may be wrong.
So for those with any APR higher than this keep trying. If not all they will do is say no.
Sweet! I knew I had read of lower APRs. I'll get there one day.
Got my letters in the mail too that my rates are not promotional.
How long did it take to get the letters?
@maleck15 wrote:I went ahead and tried again and was able to lower it again to 13.74. I will wait awhile to try again.
Congrats! Similar results here! If and when you try again, please keep us posted!!!!

So, after 3 successful requests in less than a week, I got it down to 13.74. Should I ask again?

I just got the APR on my BCP down to 10.24%
In one shot? What APR were you coming from?
Update
I was able to get my 4th APR reduction. It is now at 12.5% which is by far my lowest.
