Wow! You have 7 visas!
I'm thinking Of closing my Firestone card Next, and I'm wanting to replace it with a Visa card since I don't have one in my portfolio.
I want a visa for two reasons:
1- for Costco purchases
2- for rental car benefits
Can I have one Of yours? Lol
@joltdude wrote:You also can have all the AUs removed from your report... AU means your not responsible for the account.. But your better off if it closes at 0 and not forcing the deletions.
Wells Fargo is down to zero! One AU down, two to go!

Fingerhut-$850
Gettington-$550
Bosch-$1,000
I must say, it always feels good closing rebuilder accounts. They weren't serving any purpose. I'm down to ONLY 5 reporting credit card accounts, and the weight of trimming the fat feels great!!
Way to go master, Congrat
UPDATE!!
2 MORE accounts closed today!
Firestone
Cap1-Merged, closed the 2nd account
I'm having a hard time closing Kay Jewelers because I like the credit limit.
It helps with utilization, and I'm paying down my Discoveraccount to zero.
I was careless and accrued debt.
Maybe after Discover is paid down, I can close Kays as well since it wont have
as much of an impact on utilization at that point.
Any thoughts??

If the Kay card is helping with uti ratios then throw it in a drawer until you've lifted other limits to the point you don't need it. No AF so I don't see it hurting anything .
Congrats on the housekeeping efforts! (y)

I agree. That was kind of my thought as well. Kay's is at $0/$6,000, so it certainly is helping. I have to pay discover down from the $4,500 that I owe.
Discover is the only card reporting a balance at this point. Can't wait to pay it off, and then it's "no more kisses" for me! Lol
I think the term you want for Kay is to be able to kiss-off Kay =)

KISS-KAY!! Lol,
Although, Kay has been a total lady when it comes to "helping out a friend" with
establishing credit!
