Re: $400 Cash Back after Spending $1K in 90 Days with NFL Card

Already began spending on this bad boy.

Got to say, no card has gotten as much attention as my NY Giants card. I've actually gotten free stuff at certain places I've gone to (Ex: Sam Adams pint glasses at a bar) just for flashing it.

This was such a great decision.

Re: $400 Cash Back after Spending $1K in 90 Days with NFL Card

Question....we now have our card but haven't used it yet. I'm a bit confused as to how the $400 cash back works.

Do we simply spend $1,000. Pay it off. Then get $400 cash back? In the form of cash in the mail? Statement credit? How exactly do we get the $400?

There was some talk about spending the $1,000 in two different segments? I am so confused...

Appreciate any words of wisdom anyone can give me.

It depends on how you wanted to do it.

First thing to keep in mind is while you spend the $1,000, you are going to earn $10 in cashback, in addition to the $400 that they are going to give you for the first spend.

So you'll have $410 but the time you spend the 1K.

I've read here and a few other forums that there are certain ways to do it.

Apparently one was to spend $410 on one transaction and $590 on other stuff and then use the statement credit to cover the $410.

Another is to just spend $1,000 and then get the credit, and then spend up to $410 to use the statement credit all at once.

But then I read Barclays is kinda weird and you actually should spend $375 and an additional $35 because Barclays is weird.

Confusing, isn't it?

I'm just going to spend the 1K, get the statement credit and spend the $410 afterwards. If I can only use $375, so be it. I'm still getting $375 dollars worth of stuff for free that I needed for the new apartment anyway.

For pushing payments to this card, which company do we push to? Bank of America has a Barclays Delaware.
