5% gas cards cut-off

I'm talking specifically for the Discover More and Chase Freedom.  Both of them end 3/31 for the 5% off of gas.  We want to fill all of our cars before this.  Does it matter the date you pump it or the date it actually posts on your account?  If we pumped it on 3/31 and it didn't post until, say, 4/2, would it still count for the 5% off?

Thanks.  Smiley Happy

Re: 5% gas cards cut-off

You have to look at the term, which I don't have it with me at the moment.

Re: 5% gas cards cut-off

AFAIK the charge has to post by 3/31.  So basically if you fill up today it probly wont post till April. That is for Discover IDK about Freedom.

Re: 5% gas cards cut-off

Funny that you posted this, I went through this same conversation with someone else on the 28th and we both decided that just to play it safe, we'd fill up on the 28th.

It already had posted today.

Look at it this way, you had to get gas anyway.

Re: 5% gas cards cut-off

Do any cards have 5% cashback on gas next quarter?

I know Chase and Discover don't, that I could see. It's going on AMEX the next quarter.
