99/500 and AmEx

I have the envelope stuffed with my 99/500 acceptance form.  I havent mailed it yet only because of unknown reaction AmEx will have to a new secured trade line on my credit report.  I really want BofA in my wallet.  After reading so many positive posts about BofA and so many negative posts on AmEx it seems to me that losing AmEx and gaining BofA isnt such a bad play.

Don't have any hesitation. Mail that baby in.

I highly doubt a new (small) $500 trade line will stir their jollies.

And besides, it's secured. You're spending YOUR credit line, not theirs.

Congrats on the 99/500. I would gladly take that over a $1000 unsecured any day, due to the potential that card has!

What about a BoA, $1000 unsecured line?  I was thinking about applying with them.  Should I make some late payments so I can be denied and get the 99/500 counter-offer?  :smileyvery-happy:

But seriously, OP, the whole forum is raving about how amazing that card is, so I'd mail it in while I had the chance.

In the mail this morning.  It will be interesting to see if Amex reacts.  I keep expecting something to happen after reading so many negative posts.  I'm almost feeling left out :smileyhappy:.
