AMEX-30,000 bonus miles possibly lost

I decided to apply for the AMEX Delta gold sky miles card after seeing the 30,000 bonus miles they were offering on the Delta Airlines site.  I signed into my current AMEX online account to apply and didn't notice that the offer there was only 10,000 miles!! I was approved for the card.

Has anyone experienced this before? Any luck getting the 30,000??

I'd call them and explain the situation.  So close to the application, you stand a pretty good chance of getting them to change it.  Be prepared to have to make a few separate calls to different CSRs.  But just explain that you were intending to apply for the 30K offer and didn't realize that Amex would be offering a substantially different (worse) offer on their site, and don't think you should be at a disadvantage because you decided to route your application through Amex.  YMMV.

I called this morning and a representative in new accounts was able to confirm that I WAS eligible for the 30,000 miles promo and made the changes on my new card!!!  Also, I was informed that the card has a 5k CL- biggest one yet! Pretty amazing considering the best I could get two years ago was a 500 Cap One.

CONGRATS Dear Chap!!!  I can't wait to be approve for BCE or Gold next year.  I wonder, if I have Zync, which one will I be more likely to get?  I am waiting 6 months or unitl after I close on my house next May...
