AMEX 6 month CLI screwup

I called yesterday to find out if it has been 6 months since my last 3x cli and the lady on the phone says yes it has been 6 months and says i can ask for a credit limit.... so i go ahead and get declined... i researched and found out it has only been 5 months not 6 and she lied to me. Did this mess up my increase i was planing to ask at 6 months? do i have to wait another 6 months or can i still ask for a cli at 6 month mark?

No it's happened to others so you'll be fine in a month.

The letter to follow will say something like no CLI due to not being eligible

+1...a denial due to ineligibility does not reset the clock. The best of luck to you.
