I've read a couple places online that AMEX waives the AF for active duty service members. Do they still honor that and does it apply through the life of membership, until you get out?
I think they still do.
And it is waived until you are no longer in active duty, if I am not wrong.
It is waived, I've heard stories about life of the card as well as only active status. I think I'd err on the side of active status only. Just have to request it.
For long term backdating benefits its better if you apply in december to lock in your 2013 member date. Its a free year of backdating on all future AMEX approvals after the first.
That's awesome!
So based on active duty, do they waive the AF of Platinum? How about Centurion Card?
Maybe they'll waive AF lifelong if you got Medal of Honor? 1-year for Purple Heart, 2-Year Bronze Star, 3-year Silver Star...
