Hey everyone,
Might not be too much of help...but for some reason, I was reading around the forums. Stumbled upon the statement that AMEX is starting to loosen up with their card applications and stuff. (Probably because of the big profits they received according to recent news).
Applied cold, don't even know my scores...and I got APPROVED, for my first AMEX Blue Sky. 2000 starting CL.
Last time I checked my EQ score, if that matters, was around 3 months ago...it was around a 680. I think it was low because of having multiple accounts with balances (albeit very small). So, since then, just paid off the credit cards, and let only one report the balance. Might have gotten higher, which is likely the reason for the acceptance.
Good luck everyone!
Congrats SYale2010
Congrats!!!!!!
Congrats. See you at Dunkin Donuts.
Actually, my credit score is in the low 600s, and I got a preapproval notice for AMEX's Sky Blue card. Still debating whether I should apply or not.

If you want a card go for it. I'd rather have a 1K limit on an AMEX then on something like say a Discover.
Congrats! That's great!
