The theme asks the question itself, I read before somewhere that if you get denied, they only do a soft pull on your credit report. Is this still true ? Can couple people confirm whether this is (still) the case?

It depends, are you already an Amex member? If you are then denial is an sp

I am not a member yet, they have been soft pulling me for over a year, I am pre approved for Blue, Gold Charge Card, Zync, and Starwood GP.

Unfortunately they will do an hp even if you are denied since you are not yet a member. Amex soft pull denials only apply for current members.

Ok buddy, thanks for the info, I thought it was like that at the end but better make sure.I am gonna lay low couple of months before I apply.
Anyway, these were great few weeks for me: I got a new US Bank Cash + Visa S. 11500 limit+4000$ line of credit, Got FT Knox visa platinum for gas 5% 2500$, and I got CLI on my BOA 123 Cash Rewards up to 12K, and CAP One Platinum MC CLI from 750 to 5K , and i got my Chase Freedom from before at 5400$ so I am good for some time.
Not bad for 29 months of perfect credit history LOL![]()
