Good for you for paying your debt!

I was approved for 3 Amex cards (all revolving, latest was BCP) with a paid Amex chargeoff on my EX report. I believe it does matter if it's paid or not. Mine was very old so they may have considered that as well. I also believe the use of two high limit secured cards personally helped my situation/approvals.

yeah, since I paid it, and since HSBC updated the tradeline for the first time since 2006, it looks on my report like a very recent CO. But I'm hoping that since this is a small loan from a rapid refund ($443), and not an installment loan or credit card, that AMEX will consider me anyway.

Maybe I would have a better shot at getting my foot in the door first with a ZYNC?
