AMEX Backdating; Or, why I love this company

@Bay_Area_Joe - No, it doesn't really matter what your card says, it will still work. I got new ones just because I wanted 1993 on them.

Funny thing about Amex and their backdating.

They issues me my Zync mid-2012 with a 12 member date, but my log in says 2006.

2006 was the year I opened my first (and only prior to Zync), before it being closed by them, and then sent to collections.

I asked them to send me a card with 2006 date, and they said they couldn't due to how my original card was closed - sucks.

However, my subsequent cards in my wallet that I've app'd for since September all have 2006 on the card.

I guess at some point I'll need a new Zync once my strip wears out, and the replacement will have the 06' date on it as well.

After I sent them a message requesting the backdating, I got the same message! I'm so happy!

@Repo-ed If you had a different CSR on the phone you might get a different result.
