AMEX Backdating on Co-branded Cards

does it exist ? or does it only occur when they are for Amex cards only? 

i think i know the answer to this, but wanted to ask anyway.

I was wondering the same thing.....if they did I would PC my BOA to the BOA Accelerated Cash AmEx.

Although this is presents a fun opportunity to revive the thread on what is meant by co-branded. 

Cards issued by Amex bank will backdate.  Cards like the SPG card or Hilton Card, which I would still call co-branded, are issued by Amex and will backdate.

Cards issued by any other bank using the Amex payment network will not backdate.  The BofA Amex, PenFed Travel Rewards Amex, anything like that, no backdating.
