I did some updating on my spreadsheet. My total YTD CC spend is 41858.06 across all cards, so it would take some...creative spending to get me a centurion.

Also, MJ, how do you have 28,000 posts and you're not a super contributor yet?

So, if we do what Jared recommends and we put a little more $$ on Platinum cards, then we get a Centurion invite?  Is that the formula? Smiley Very Happy

It would seem so....Smiley Very Happy

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: AMEX CENTURION INVITE 2015

I thought the elusive invite only was for AmEx member for at least one year in good standing, 250K spend in 12 months, that's over $20k a month in charges with Pay in Full.  Wonder if there's an income requirement or personal card only.  Business doesn't count, ya know?

On my salary, I'll never see it. Of course, I don't even have any Centurion Bank Cards to begin with, even though CK is pushing the ED card down my throat lately. Smiley Tongue

Give me all your money, and I'll put spend on my plat to get a cent. Then I'll give you all my money so you can get one. Plan can never fail.

That used to be the criteria until 9-2009. Then they made by invite only and would not disclose their invitation criteria.

I have the spend, but no invite.

This is what I spend so far 2015:

Personal Plat- 400k
Biz GOLD - 850k
Biz plum - 3.85 million

I would say you certainly meet the spend requirement but keep in mind the following:

  • There are probably alot of other card holder who have spend more.
  • Amex will look at card tenure and they type of spend. So its going to make a difference if the majority of your 3.85 million was media buys vs travel, etc.

I would call Amex and make sure they have all your card information/spend, not just one. Keep calling them every other week.
