Hi,
I want to request a CLI from Amex and last month my FICO's went all up to about 759 because I finally paid off many of my balances and have UTI of 8%
My problem is that I checked this week my experian credit report and the last time AMEX made a soft inquiry on my credit was end of December so back then my UTI was around 34%
I was told that AMEX gives CLI's based on their last soft inquiry on file, so I need them to soft inquiry to see my updated credit report that is much better than in December.
Somebody else told me that since AMEX uses Free FICO Scores every month, that it means that AMEX has to make a soft inquiry every month, but for some reason I have a new FICO score dated on 1/23 but in my experian report no soft inquiry around that date from AMEX, the last one I see is December.
So can somebody clarify this? Does Amex really check my credit every month with this FICO score ?

I'm not sure what they use to SP your credit, but I've had a BCP card with AMEX since Nov. 21st, 15... And they have 1 HP and 6 SP total so far. And that was up to date a weekago
In your experian report shows up just as american express ?? Or American express 2 ?
The utilization may not even be an issue, and not even your scores by themselves.
When did you get the AMEX card?
What has your usage been?
What is the current CL and what amount of increase are you planning to ask for?
Any prior CLI on this card? If so when?

I got the AMEX card in 2013 and I had an initial $4400 limit
I did the 3x CLI after 60 days and went up to $13,200, since then I never got a CLI, I asked once but was not approved (over a year ago)
I plan to ask increase to $24,500
At some point 1 year ago I had high balance of $6000 for several months but I paid it all off in once. Since a year ago I have been using it regularly but always PIF
I also have the gold reward charge card with Amex and I use it too and is a charge card so is PIF every month
I believe it just said American Express

Interesting starting limit, $4,400.
One thing about AMEX, with the CLI request timing, you may ask for $24,500 now, and you might get it, or they may counter with something less. If the counter is less than $24,500, in 6 months, you can ask again to try to get the $24,500 level.
Using the AMEX CLI request feature is fun, it really is. The downside of waiting for the exact moment when you want to ask for the $24,500, is that if they give you the full $24,500, you won't have the AMEX CLI request feature to play with again
Good luck, but you may be already well situated to get to $24,500, given a few years of solid history at this CL.

Any score is generated based on the data in a report. A score cannot be generated without the report data. That said, I don't know why you're not finding a corresponding SP for the score. Are you sure you're pulling a report that shows SP's and not just HP's?
Just last month I got the Everydat card with a $3500 limit and I created and acct and hit the love button 5 minutes later...It came back with new limit of $10,500 limit. AMX was very generous to me that day!
