AMEX CLI Question

Hello, everyone!

My current CL on me BCP card is $1k. Come 61 days, can I only request $3k as per the 3x rule? Or can I see if they can bump me up to $5k since I had such a low CL to begin with?

Thanks!

Re: AMEX CLI Question

3k is the max you can ask for. If approved, you can request 9k six months from point of approval. If denied, you can try again in 90 days

Re: AMEX CLI Question

This raises a great question as I would rather not make a new thread.

My 61st day is tomorrow.

I basically have 2 negative accounts set to go positive by the end of the year. There were a plethora of reasons why I should have gotten denied for my BCE, but I know my internal score was probably good with them. I just paid off my statement balance in full and have less than 30 bucks until the next statement cuts.

What are my shots at getting approved? I know it's the last SP on file, which will only show less than 10% utilization and no new accounts. Will they base it on credit report more or internal score? I know they use internal scoring more than most banks, but is this also true for CLI's?

What are the chances they will counter? I'm hoping for my first 5 digit credit limit! Smiley Happy

Re: AMEX CLI Question

Same boat and I would like to know, too, Shock!

I have a CO from 2012 and I probably should have been denied for my BCP as well.
