So I am tempted to request a CLI today. My limit now is $11,200 and I might go for the full $25,000 even though I don't think my income supports it. The thing is that I just paid the card off over the weekend, and the statement cut was last night. I had carried a $3000 balance on it for the last 3-4 months. When I use the Check Spending Ability on the site it give me $11,318 which is my CL + what I overpaid(through credits and CB redemption).
Does this mean that they will not approve my CLI request?
Thanks in advance!
I don't think one really has anything to do with the other. The only way to determine if they'll approve you is to request the CLI.

I just don't want to blow my chance of CLI if I had a large chance of being denied. XD
I broke down and submited for $25,000 from $11,200. It told me to wait 7-10 days for a written response. DOH!
Got my denial letter the other day. It said they couldn't grant my CLI because of "income to debt obligation" or something similar. O well. Not that big of a deal as I didn't plan on using the available credit anyways.
The letter said my EX FICO was 720s or 730s or something. Not bad.
I guess I'll work on paying my cards down and try again in 90 days!

They gave you your score but this is a SP anyway right? Besides, as others said, you never know until you try and as you said, it helps resets the clock to set yourself up for another CLI sooner than later Good luck!
