AMEX Chip and signature

 Apologies if this has been posted already.. 

Since I just received my new AMEX PRG and BCP, I was able to backdate because of my AMEX corporate card

They will give you CHIP and signature  feature only to Plat, Gold and Corp cards but you have to call and request it.

Excuse me about my ignorance, but what does having a chip in the card help? I have a plan of trip to India this year and got the PRG card. Will having a chip in this card help to use it globally even in India?

Dada :-) It helps mostly in Europe but it'll be helpful in India as well ..

Thanks do you know in India they accept American Express cards? I hadn't gone back there for long time now.

Yup they do but Visa/MC are your best bets there.. most of the merchants refuse to take AMEX. Try getting a no FTF Visa or MC

yes thats what i heard too. Yeah i got few visa & MC cards those dont have FTF
