AMEX Costco CL ....?

Wanting to know if anyone has any insight on how/if I can keep my existing CL from AMEX Costco card and move it to a non-AF AMEX of some kind?

I read this from Citi Costco page of FAQ's:

There's no direct transition (because Citi bought the file), but you might try logging in to your Amex to see if there's an offer.

I was given a BCE with an identical limit on a soft pull (along with a cash bonus).

Re: AMEX Costco CL ....?

So you just opened a brand new card and they matched the limit? Where do I go once I am logged into my AMEX account to find the offers? (pardon my ignorance! lol) Smiley Tongue

Re: AMEX Costco CL ....?

Right. They matched my Costco limit and threw in a $250 bonus if I spend X by Y. (I've forgotten the terms.)

There was a popup when I logged in to my Amex account. I didn't click any buttons looking for offers.

If you are in good standing and your credit hasn't tanked they are basically approving any new card you apply for with amex and matching the limit of your costco. My partners SPG card ended up with the same limit as his costco.

I'm just hoping once Citi has it we can move some limit from his other citi cards to make the costco the big one!

Re: AMEX Costco CL ....?

OP, are you asking about PCing your Costco AMEX to another AMEX product?   Or are you asking about moving the CL from the Costco AMEX to an existing AMEX?  Unfortunately, you're unable to PC and the deadline has passed to reallocate your CL.   You would need to apply for a new card.   However, AMEX may have an SP offer for you; you may want to call in or chat.

I'm hoping for this, too.   I would like to get rid of my DC and move the CL to the Costco card.  I just hope they keep the original opening date.

Re: AMEX Costco CL ....?

Srf383,

Did you get a new BCE card with just a soft pull and same credit limit as the TE card?

If yes, did you call or chat to get this?

They didn't just match my Mothers CL but increased it over 200% or so? Her Amex Costco CL is $5,000 and when she apped for the BCE which they started to sell her on with pre -qualified letters stating because they were going to close the Costco card with a $300 signup bonus got around a $15,000 CL or so?
