I took about a 2 - 5 pt hit for every card I app'ed for last month. Not to mention the hit I took for actually using the card....

I know that AMEX pulls from EX but, does anyone know if they truly use the EX FICO score as part of their approval process or if they may perhaps be using Ex plus score for your credit score?

On one of my denial letter for a CLI had "Credit score too low" it di not say FICO.

I am pretty sure the AMEX uses FICO and an internal system.

You breathe you go it !!! It might be a low CL but who cares get in the door. There is people on this forum with PLAT AME charge card who cannot get approved for this card. GO FOR IT

After reading this thread, I decided to apply tonight and I was approved! My lowest score is EX at 695, but my current utility is around 57%.  1 baddie on EX about 6 years old, none on TU or EQ.  9 cc's, 1 st loan, haven't been late in almost 6 years.  I haven't applied for a card in 2 years, so I said what the heck!  Glad that I did!!
