If the plat was metal the cent holders wouldn't feel special! 
I got my EMV plat recently too, nice that they overnighted it, but all the text on my card was a quarter inch left of center... Oh well, still works, didn't bother to request another replacement card.
Any plans to use the EMV overseas or just wanted it because its available?
