Not surprising since I know many who use other portals (UR, Discover, etc...) with their Amex and still get the points.
All things being equal, because Amex tends to rule in favor of the cardmember during disputes and extended warranty, most will prefer to use Amex for many purchases anyway, especially the riskier internet ones. I don't think Amex needed ther MR Mall.
I never used this benefit, but it was popular. Amex should come out with another product that allows you to accelerate MR earning with certain categories. The PRG isn't enough. They should offer packs across the charge cards IMO.

Never used it either or even looked at it. The Chase UR mall sure is fine though.
Right, and I really like the UR Mall. I doubt I'd use Amex's MR Mall, unless they made signficiant improvements to the user experience.

Didnt even know amex had such thing. Ive never use UR mall either. I like shopdiscover tho
Shopdiscover is one of the best portals, especially the 15% cashback on groupon. I compare shopdiscover and the UR Mall. If the same, I'll always opt for the UR Mall, since I value their points higher than Discover.
However, I have used my Amex for purchases on shopdiscover and received the cashback.

How does this work? You're saying I can go through the Discover portal and get cashback on my discover card, but pay with my Amex?

Yeah i went on a little shop spree and got 15% cash back at northface.com and 15% at finishline.com using shopdiscover.
TNF is one of my favorite brands!
