I can't wait to hear good news on Citi..

Should I go ahead and apply for Citi Forward while I am at it? Or sit back and consider myself freaking lucky? Hahaha
I'm hrilled to join the AMEX family! I would like to thank everyone on this board for all the help and advice I have received since August. This is a great forum that has helped me go from nothing to AMEX approved in 6 months.
Congrats!!
Congrats, and welcome to the Amex family!!!
I got the wait for an email in the next week message for the Citi Forward...am going to give them a call right now...
Congrats on the approval !!!
They denied me for the Citi forward becase my credit history is short. They require at least two trade lines. They wouldn't budge either. Whatever haha, at least I got AMEX Green, a much better card anyways.

That sucks...so you already tried the backdoor for recon?
Congrats on your approval!!!! You're going to like your Amex Green. They might offer you an upgrade to Gold/Platinum after a year. Take good care of it.
Ron.

Wait another 6 months and try again. There really is no card that can compare to Forward for cash back when dining out.
I tied to recon with some number...don't know if it was the backdoor number. The lady said the ONLY reason I was denied was because I have a short history of only 6 months, everything else was great. Is there another number I can call and try for? I tried to explain how I have plenty of money to cover expenses and that they can start me out with a low limit if they want...no dice.
I would think that AMEX green is tougher to get than the regular Citi Forward
