Anyone else log into their accounts only to notice that they were given 50,000 points, then minutes later the points are gone. I know I was supposed to receive points for upgrading after 6 weeks and $300 in spending I believe, so when I login today, I notice I had 55,437 points. Get all excited, e-mail my brother that runs charges through monthly so that I can earn points.....wouldn't you know moments later, the points were gone. I'll have to call AMEX MR to see what the glitch was about and see what happened to my points I was supposed to get. Shame I can't remember though what the promotion was.

Were you targeted for the promotion or did you read about it elsewhere and ask Amex to apply it to your account? There have been reports recently of Amex either not giving points or taking back points for people that asked for targeted promo codes when they were not targeted for the promos.

Yes, I was targeted.

Should be a simple fix then by calling Amex MR rewards. I imagine they'll have it in their records that you were targeted for the code. Of course, if they don't, it may be a problem if you no longer have the e-mail or mail offering. If you can search around online and find the bonus ID code, that might help even if you can't find your original offer. Best of luck.

Will do, thanks! I'll post a follow up as an FYI for others that might have the same experience.
