AMEX Product Change

I decided I wanted to convert my BCE to an AMEX Everyday. I called customer service and was told I couldn't convert a Blue product, which earns cash back, to a product that earns MR points.

Has anyone ever had luck getting this, or a similar, product change?

Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

I wanted to do the same thing, couldn't. Had to app for the new card.

Yeah, they're not going to let you PC that card. You could PC it to the BCP

Im guessing you've done the math and can't justify the grocery spending for the AF to be worth it... Or they travel rewards from the MR would just be a better return for you.

That's only true if it's over 13 months/statements old. You can't raise an annual fee within the first 'year'. I was able to convert my BCP to BCE when I got my EDP, but I couldn't go the other way if I wanted to.

No, same thing. Can't PC cashback card to MR earning card and vice versa
