AMEX SHOPRUNNER Changes :(

I cant imagine the minimum amount change is anything out of the ordinary. It may just be to prevent order a $5 item, and having the shipping be $20. I doubt many of us will feel the change.

It depends on the level.  I order from places where orders over say $49 are free, but I only want $20 of stuff.  Shoprunner has been great for this (didn't really need the speed, although that was good too!)    Without it is a little easy (for me at any rate) to think "OK, that $42.  So if I buy one more of these for $10, I will get free shipping" leading to buying a little (hopefully just a little!) more than you originally intended.

My favorite example of mismatched shipping was Walmart. I used to buy 12 packs of 1L flavored water from them online with free shipping over $50. The price was $7.98 each so I usually order 10 or so. When they shipped them they sent each 12 pack in a separate Fedex ground package, occasionally 2 in a package. Considering each box weighed at least 25 or 50 lbs I can't see how they made anything on the sale unless they got Fedex to ship for free.

Someone must have caught on, they've been out of stock online for over a year now. Considering I had to schlep them from my front step to the basement I don't really miss them....

I use it for free after rebate items  so I hope the minimum aint too low.

Right there with you.  Also, couldn't get a mileage credit AND use shoprunner on ebags, so just placed the order through amazon.  Don't see THAT many deals with shoprunner.
