AMEX Success Finally! So excited!!

ok so I have a nice group of credit cards on my CR but I just wanted an AMEX to round it all off. I've tried to no avail to apply for cards and it never worked out for me. Mostly because I have great credit but a stubborn check (payday loan) from years ago charged off on Telecheck. I own a small business but I don't do much with it. Just some consulting on the side from my real job in the health care industry. I decided I would apply for a business card with them. Magic!! I got the pending application but call now for an instant decision. I called and they approved me. No verification of income (tax returns or bank statements) no articles of organization from the secretary of state zip, zilch, nada. Just wanted to share my success story for those of you who had questions about business cards. In my case that's what I should have done from the get go. I can not however guarantee that it will work this well for you. I'm so stoked!!!

Re: AMEX Success Finally! So excited!!

Thanks! You are so right though. I was sure I was going to get declined yet again and if not I was sure I was going to have to go through this process of sending documents etc before a final decision so imagine my suprise when they said after 3 minutes of being on the phone with them approved!

Amex is known to doing FR. Use your card wisely and be prepared to provide them your personal tax returns if they ask you.

Re: AMEX Success Finally! So excited!!

What is FR? Will I still have to go through it even after approval?

Hi, FR = Financial Review. AMEX randomly (seems so) review their CC holders' account, even after approval. If they see things they don't like they could ask for your personal finance paperwork. Then they may or may not close your account Smiley Very Happy
